A little girl is running
Napalm is burning
Her delicate tender young skin
An aggrieved teenager is watching
Gaping
At this horrifying scene
Thousands of miles away
On a black and white
Or is it colour TV screen
Eyes well up
Swell up

Heart is throbbing
Mind racing
Worrying
Asking
How can I stop
The shooting
The slaughtering
Of kin and kind
The educated in charge
Should know better but
When ego takes over
The political kings…
Mr War decides
To come in kicking
Keep him out!

We are Humanity
Crying out for sympathy…
We vote for life
We need to see smell taste
The good days
Feel the warmth of another’s embrace
At present it is
“I” will do everything my way”

We need Truth
Peaceful living
We need words so sweet
To dispel those who breathe deceit…

“I am good others are bad”
These are the kinds of words that
Create every Mr War we have

Peace is what we need to know
couple it with Stillness and Silence
While we’re on the go
Always remembering to say our prayers
To keep the channel open to
The Creator’s ready ears
All the answers are unlocked without tears
Be comforted by the echoes of our hearts

It stops when Humanity says
